Guacamole
This recipe is great for serving as an appetizer that people are sure to love- it is delicious, fun, nutritious, and allergen free. I make it almost daily to eat with my favorite foods- on a salad, meat, a sandwich, etc. It’s quick to make- and way cheaper and more delicious than store-made.
Equipment
- Bowl
- Knife for Chopping
Ingredients
- 2 Avocados
- 2 tbsp Avocado Oil
- 2 tbsp Cilantro
- 1 tsp Salt
Optional Ingredients
- 1/4 cup Red Onion
- 1 clove Garlic (Diced)
Instructions
Success Tips
- Make sure you have ripe avocado, slightly soft to touch
- Best eaten immediately- if not, add some extra lime juice to the top, then stir in when ready to eat
Steps
- Cut avocados in half, remove pits, scoop avocado into mixing bowl, press with fork until it’s all smooth.
- Cut each lime in half and squeeze juice into bowl with avocado.
- Chop cilantro and add to avocado.
- Add avocado oil and salt to avocado and it all well.
- This is usually where I stop. If you love onion and garlic (and are sure everyone else does too!), then feel free to add amounts listed under ‘Optional Ingredients’ above.
- I love to serve this with plantain chips (either homemade or store bought). Also pairs well with ‘Siete’ tortilla chips which usually contain clean ingredients.
- ENJOY!
