Guacamole
This recipe is great for serving as an appetizer that people are sure to love- it is delicious, fun, nutritious, and allergen free. I make it almost daily to eat with my favorite foods- on a salad, meat, a sandwich, etc. It’s quick to make- and way cheaper and more delicious than store-made.
Prep Time 5 minutes mins
Total Time 5 minutes mins
- 2 Avocados
- 2 tbsp Avocado Oil
- 2 tbsp Cilantro
- 1 tsp Salt
Optional Ingredients
- 1/4 cup Red Onion
- 1 clove Garlic (Diced)
Success Tips
Make sure you have ripe avocado, slightly soft to touch
Best eaten immediately- if not, add some extra lime juice to the top, then stir in when ready to eat
Steps
Cut avocados in half, remove pits, scoop avocado into mixing bowl, press with fork until it’s all smooth.
Cut each lime in half and squeeze juice into bowl with avocado.
Chop cilantro and add to avocado.
Add avocado oil and salt to avocado and it all well.
This is usually where I stop. If you love onion and garlic (and are sure everyone else does too!), then feel free to add amounts listed under ‘Optional Ingredients’ above.
I love to serve this with plantain chips (either homemade or store bought). Also pairs well with ‘Siete’ tortilla chips which usually contain clean ingredients.
ENJOY!
