Crockpot Orange Chicken

Sweet, tangy, and incredibly tender—this healthier orange chicken is an easy slow cooker favorite everyone will love.

  • 1 Crockpot
  • 1 Measuring Spoon Set
  • 1 Large Spoon
  • 1 Measuring Cup Set

Ingredients
  

  • 1.5 lbs pounds chicken breast, cut into bite-sized pieces
  • 2 tbs coconut oil
  • 2 tbs arrowroot starch
  • 1/4 cup freshly squeezed orange juice
  • 1/4 cup coconut aminos
  • 1/4 cup honey
  • 1 tsp sea salt
  • 1 tsp ground ginger
  • 1 tsp onion powder
  • 1/4 tsp turmeric
  • 1/2 tsp black pepper
  • 1 tbs sliced green onion (for topping)

Instructions
 

  • Add the coconut oil to your slow cooker.
  • Add the chicken and arrowroot starch, then stir until the chicken is evenly coated.
  • Pour in the orange juice, coconut aminos, honey, sea salt, ginger, onion powder, turmeric (if using), and black pepper. Stir everything together.
  • Cook on High for 2 hours or Low for 4 hours, until the chicken is fully cooked.
  • Give everything one final stir so the chicken is coated in the sauce. Top with green onions and serve.
  • Serve over cauliflower rice with steamed broccoli or bok choy.
