Crockpot Orange Chicken
Sweet, tangy, and incredibly tender—this healthier orange chicken is an easy slow cooker favorite everyone will love.
Equipment
- 1 Crockpot
- 1 Measuring Spoon Set
- 1 Large Spoon
- 1 Measuring Cup Set
Ingredients
- 1.5 lbs pounds chicken breast, cut into bite-sized pieces
- 2 tbs coconut oil
- 2 tbs arrowroot starch
- 1/4 cup freshly squeezed orange juice
- 1/4 cup coconut aminos
- 1/4 cup honey
- 1 tsp sea salt
- 1 tsp ground ginger
- 1 tsp onion powder
- 1/4 tsp turmeric
- 1/2 tsp black pepper
- 1 tbs sliced green onion (for topping)
Instructions
- Add the coconut oil to your slow cooker.
- Add the chicken and arrowroot starch, then stir until the chicken is evenly coated.
- Pour in the orange juice, coconut aminos, honey, sea salt, ginger, onion powder, turmeric (if using), and black pepper. Stir everything together.
- Cook on High for 2 hours or Low for 4 hours, until the chicken is fully cooked.
- Give everything one final stir so the chicken is coated in the sauce. Top with green onions and serve.
- Serve over cauliflower rice with steamed broccoli or bok choy.
